Question by J S: What color should I paint my livingroom/diningroom? What color fabric should I use on diningroom chairs?
Kitchen is medium blue (white cabinets). Livingroom has a rug that has blues, gold, tans, rusty/wine colors in the design.

Best answer:

Answer by hungryeyes
For your kitchen chairs, I would go with blue and white stripes, or some design that ties the 2 colors together. For your living room, I would choose a reddish or rusty shade, maybe paint with design. For instance, pick out your paint, use a trash bag or grocery bag, crumple it up, dip in paint slightly, put on wall and rub in in circular motion, then in the same area dab the paint again with the bag, makes a leather like appearance, very sharp and beautiful! There are all kinds of colors and shades in reds/rusts. Can be very elegant! Good luck and have fun!

Question by Jessica S: Why does my house trained cat urinating and pooing in the house?
My 12 yr old cat, who was very house trained, has recently decided that she’ll poo or urinate in the house – places include: bathroom (always over the drain), bedrooms (even on clothes!), hall way, kitchen etc ..

She’ll be sitting on balcony, then casually wonder into the house, go toilet, then come back outside and fall asleep (this is upstairs ONLY). Is she just slack? Or getting old? Or what? She’s desexed.

Best answer:

Answer by BabsinGR
It is very possible that your cat has a health issue, the best thing you can do is get her to the vet and see whats going on. She may have a bladder infection or a clogged anal glan, or maybe she has a bad tooth, any type of illness can cause cats to start peeing and pooing in places other than her litter box. Good luck.

Question by jackiehome76: Can the vendor pull out during cooling off period after contracts exchanged?
We are currently in our 5 day cooling off period after exchanging contracts on our first home (in Aus). During the cooling off we have had pest and building inspections done and have found problems with some water leakage from the main bathroom which has leaked under the wall into the kitchen area. This will require the kitchen to be pulled out to replace the particle board under the oven and kitchen cupboards. This is our dream home and despite the damage we are still wanting to buy the property. Our conveyancer has mentioned to us that we are able to approach the vendor about a possible rebate on settlement to cover some of the costs associated with the water damage. We have approached the agent and they have told us that the vendor would not be interested in doing this and is even considering removing the property from the market. We have been told by our conveyencer that it is not possible for the vendor to do this as they have already signed a contract agreeing to sell.

Best answer:

Answer by Santa Barbara
If you want, you may be able to sue the vendor for specific performance.

It completely depends on the contract, and the things they agreed to have done.

Most likely though, if you really want the home, you will have to pay for the fixes yourself.

I guess it all depends on the amount of true damage, and how strong your stomach is…
